Jumalan sinetti sapatissa * God's seal on the Sabbath Day

Luomisviikon viimeisen eli seitsemännen päivän tapahtumat on kirjattu lyhyesti jakeisiin 1. Moos. 2: 1 - 3.
"Niin tulivat valmiiksi taivas ja maa kaikkine joukkoinensa.
Ja Jumala päätti seitsemäntenä päivänä työnsä, jonka hän oli tehnyt, ja lepäsi seitsemäntenä päivänä kaikesta työstänsä, jonka hän oli tehnyt.Ja Jumala siunasi seitsemännen päivän ja pyhitti sen, koska hän sinä päivänä lepäsi kaikesta luomistyöstänsä, jonka hän oli tehnyt."
The events of the last or the seventh creation day have been expressed briefly in Gen. 2: 1 - 3:"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."
Tuosta tekstistä löytyy kolme merkittävää verbiä, ja ne ovat:1. levätä... hepreaksi שבת (shabat)2. siunata... hepreaksi ברך (barak)3. pyhittää... hepreaksi קדש (qadash)
In this text we can find three important verbs, which are:1. rest... in Hebrew שבת (shabat)2. bless... in Hebrew ברך (barak)3. sanctify... in Hebrew קדש (qadash)

Ensimmäisen verbin mukaan seitsemäs päivä on saanut ikuisen ja muuttumattoman nimensä.
According to the first verb the seventh day has got it's eternal and constant name.
Toisen verbin merkitys avautuu heprean sanakirjasta seuraavasti: siunata, varustaa erityisillä lahjoilla, osoittaa jonkin olevan erityisasemassa.
The meaning of the second verb is revealed by a lexicon: bless, equip which special gifts, show the special position of something.
Kolmannen verbin sisältö ja sanoma on sanankirjan mukaan seuraava: pyhittää, omistaa Jumalan käyttöön, julistaa pyhäksi.
The significance of the third verb according to the lexicon is: sanctify, dedicate to God's use, declare holy.
Tässä jos missä on sellainen pyhä kolminaisuus, jota eivät edes pahimmatkaan saatanalliset voimat tule  milloinkaan murtamaan!
This is truly such a holy trinity that not even the worst satanic powers can ever break it down!

Mikä Herra * What Lord

Maailma on täynnä herroja; pienempiä ja suurempia, tärkeämpiä ja vähemmän tärkeitä. Kuten tiedämme; kaikki miehethän ovat herroja.

The world is full of lords: smaller and greater, more and less important. As we know every man is a lord/mister.

Herrojen toimet eivät olleet Jeesukselle aina kovin mieluisia, sillä hän opetti mm.: "Te tiedätte, että kansojen ruhtinaat herroina niitä hallitsevat, ja että mahtavat käyttävät valtaansa niitä kohtaan.  Näin älköön olko teillä keskenänne, vaan joka teidän keskuudessanne tahtoo suureksi tulla, se olkoon teidän palvelijanne" (Matt. 20: 25, 26).

Jesus was not always very fond of the deeds of the lords, for he taught for example like this: "But Jesus called them [to him], and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whoever will be great among you, let him be your minister" (Matthew 20: 25, 26).

Opetuslapset kutsuivat Jeesusta "Herraksi" (esim. Tuomas - Joh. 20: 28), ja hän hyväksyi tuon sanan käytön.

"Te puhuttelette minua opettajaksi ja Herraksi, ja oikein te sanotte, sillä se minä olen" (Joh. 13: 13).

The disciples called Jesus "Lord" (for example Thomas - John 20: 28), and he accepted that name.

"Ye call me Master, and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am. (John 13: 13).

Mutta mikä herra-sana on kysymyksessä? Hepreankielinen teksti Johanneksen evankeliumin kohdasta vastaa kysymykseen:

But what lord is in question? The Hebrew text from the gospel of John gives an answer:

תם קראים לי רב ואדון והיטבתם אשר דברתם כי אני הוא

Tekstistä löytyy sana אדון (ADON), ja tätä sanaa on käytetty Jeesuksesta läpi koko hepreankielisen Uuden Testamentin.

Mutta kreikankielisessä Uudessa Testamentissa vastaava sana on Kyrios, joka vastaa Vanhan Testamentin sanaa יהוה Jahve/Jehova. Onko Jeesus siis Jahve/Jehova?

There is a word אדון (ADON), and it has been used through the Hebrew New Testament about Jesus. But in the Greek New Testament the corresponding word is Kyrios, and it replaces the word יהוה Yahweh/Jehovah in the Old Testament. So is Jesus Yahweh/Jehovah?

Minun vastaukseni on: ehdottomasti ei ole! Ja perusteluni on seuraava:

1. Vanhassa Testamentissa käytetään tetragrammia יהוה (Jahve/Jehova) viittaamaan Jumalaan. Tosin tuon nimen lähtökohta on melkoisen hämärän peitossa. Näyttää ennemmin siltä, että tetragrammi liittyy pakanajumaliin, sillä Jahvea alettiin huutaa avuksi Kainin suvun piirissä Enoksen aikaan noin 253 vuotta luomisen jälkeen (1. Moos. 4. luku).
2. Jeesus ei ole Jumala, vaan hän on ainoan totisen Jumalan (Ehjeen) Lähettiläs... Jeesuksen omien sanojen mukaan (Joh. 17: 3).
3. Pakkosiirtolaisuuden ajan jälkeen juutalaiset alkoivat lausua tetragrammin kohdalla sanan אדני (ADONAI), joka myös merkitsee herra, ja liittyy aina jumaluuteen. Huomatkaamme, että Jeesus =  אדון (ADON), mutta Jahve/Jehova = אדני (ADONAI)!
7. Myös nimi בעל (Baal) merkitsee herra/omistaja/aviomies. Jerusalemissa tehdyissä argeologisissa kaivauksissa on löydetty runsaasti Baalinpatsaita. Baal ja Jahve rinnastetaan toisiinsa.
8. Okkultismissa väännetään tetragrammista יהוה Jeesuksen nimi lisäämällä sanan keskelle Shin - יהשוה. Kristillisyydessä tehdään sama pakanallinen temppu korvaamalla hepreankielinen tetragrammi ensin kreikan sanalla κύριος (Kyrios) ja käyttämällä sitten tätä samaa Kyrios-sanaa Jeesuksesta. Ovelaa!
9. Ilmestyskirjan mukaan Jeesus on "herrojen HERRA"... hepreaksi אדני האדנים (ADONEI HA-ADONIM). Jeesus on kaikkien herrojen yläpuolella... myös Jahven/Jehovan yläpuolella!

Ilm. 17: 14 hepreaksi:

המה ילחמו בשה והשה יכול יוכל להם כי הוא אדני האדנים ומלך המלכים ועמו הקרואים והבחירים והנאמנים

My answer is: definitely not! And here are my arguments:
1. The tetragrammaton יהוה (Yahweh/Jehovah) is used in the Old Testament to refer to God. Although the origin of that name is very obscure. Sooner it seems that the tetragrammaton is related to pagan idols, for Cain's family started to shout the name of Yahweh/Jehovah in the time of Enos about 253 after the creation (the 4th chapter of Genesis).
2. Jesus is not a God, but he is an ambassador of the only true God, (Ehyeh)... according to the Jesus' own words (John 17: 3).
3. After the Exile the Jews began to utter instead of the tetragrammaton אדני (ADONAI), which also means   lord/master and refers always to a deity. Let's notice the difference! Jesus = אדני (ADON), but Yahweh/Jehovah = אדני (ADONAI)!
4. A master/householder is called ADON/ADONI in the Old Testament. Thus people wanted to honor Jesus as a teacher/master/leader.
5. Mr./Lord Mount is Mr./Lord River as little as Jesus is Yahweh/Jehovah. When the disciples called Jesus lord they honored him so much that they didn't dare to use his own name but they used instead of it his honorary title. Ordinary people use to act like this before "high" people.
6. lord/Lord is as little a proper noun as wife/Wife. A capital doesn't make the word a proper noun.
7. Even the name בעל (Baal) means Lord/master/husband. The archaeologists have found in Jerusalem lot of Baal-statues. Baal and Yahweh/Jehovah are parallel.
8. In Occultism the name Jesus is built from the tetragrammaton יהוה when Shin is added in the middle of it... like this יהשוה. In Christianity the same pagan trick is done when the Hebrew tetragrammaton has been replaced by the Greek κύριος (Kyrios) and then this word has been used of Jesus. Cunnig!
9. In the book of Revelation Jesus is called "the Lord of lords"... in Hebrew  אדני האדנים (ADONEI HA-ADONIM). Jesus is higher than all lords... even higher than Yahweh/Jehovah!

Rev. 17: 14 in Hebrew:

המה ילחמו בשה והשה יכול יוכל להם כי הוא אדני האדנים ומלך המלכים ועמו הקרואים והבחירים והנאמנים

Kuka on hylkiö * Who is an outcast

Useita vuosia sitten pysähdyin ihmettelemään suomenkielisessä raamatussa yhden ainoan kerran esiintyvää sanaa "hylkiö". Pyysin silloin eräältä heprean taitajalta vastausta kysymyksiini: mikä on hylkiö... kuka on hylkiö... voiko joku ihminen olla hylkiö... voiko joku syntyä hylkiöksi... miten hylkiöksi tullaan... En saanut kuitenkaan tyydyttävää vastausta mihinkään kysymykseeni.

Many years ago I stopped to wonder a word "outcast/louse"... in Finnish "hylkiö", which occurs only once in the Finnish Bible. I turned to a Hebrew specialist and asked him: what is hylkiö... who is hylkiö... is it possible that some person is hylkiö... shall somebody born to be hylkiö... what makes somebody hylkiö... I got no average answer.

Olin hämmästynyt tuon sanan suhteen siitä syystä, että olin oppinut ymmärtämään, että Jumala on rakkaus... että Jumala ei hylkää, vaikka omat vanhemmat hylkäisivät... että Jeesus tuli etsimään ja kutsumaan syrjittyjä ja hyljeksittyjä.

I was amazed with that word, because I had learned that God is love... that God doesn't reject anybody although even parents do... that Jesus came to seek for the discriminated and the rejected.

Miksi sitten psalmissa 15 hylkiön halveksiminen luetaan vanhurskaudeksi. Uskomatonta! Olisiko kysymyksessä käännösvirhe?

Why then it's said in the psalm 15 that it is righteousness to contemn a vile person? Unbelievable! Could it be mistranslation?

Asioilla on taipumus kertautua, ja niin kävi tämänkin kummallisen sanan suhteen. Se nousi mieleeni äskettäin uudelleen erääseen ystävääni kohdistuneiden hyökkäysten vuoksi. Ja tänään päätin ottaa asiasta selvää ja käänsin psalmin 15.

Things use to be repeated and so it happened even with this odd word. It came recently to my mind when one of my friends had troubles. And today I decided to find out the problem and I translated the psalm 15.

Kunnia Ehjeelle! Jumala ei ole vääryyden puolella eikä halveksi ihmisten hyljeksimiä ja tuomitsemia, koska hän tuli itse sellaiseksi. Kuten psalmit yleensäkin niin myös psalmi 15 kuvaa Jeesuksen ominaisuuksia ja piirteitä ja hänen elämänsä raskaita vaiheita.

Praise to Ehyeh! God doesn't stand on the side of violence neither does he despise those who have been rejected and condemned by people, because he himself became such a person. As usual psalms describe Jesus' features and attributes and the hard periods of his life, so do even the psalm 15.

Vain Jeesus on niin nuhteeton ja vanhurskas, että hän on kelvollinen asumaan Jumalan majassa ja Kaikkivaltiaan pyhällä vuorella. Sen sijaan joka ainoa ihminen on syntinen ja poispoikennut, eikä meistä löydy ainuttakaan vanhurskasta (Room. 3: 10 - 18).

Only Jesus is so blameless and righteous that he is allowed to abide in God's tabernacle and on the Almighty's holy hill. Instead every single man is a sinner and everybody has gone out of the way, and there is none that does good (Rom. 3: 10 - 18).

Vain Jeesus puhuu puhdasta totuutta, sillä hän on itse totuus (Joh. 14: 6).

Only Jesus speaks pure truth, for he is the Truth himself (John 14: 6).

Vain Jeesus on täydellinen ja hallitsee kielensä (Jaak. 3: 2) niin, ettei hän sorru panettelemaan ketään eikä saata ketään häväistyksen alaiseksi.

Only Jesus is perfect and he bridles also his word (James 3: 2) so that he never slanders anybody nor does he ever profane nobody.

Vain Jeesus ei sortunut Saatanan keksimään kaupankäyntiin (Hes. 28: 16). Hän ei ottanut eikä antanut mitään lahjuksia. Sen sijaan hän kaatoi rahanvaihtajien pöydät nurin kahteen kertaan Jerusalemin temppelissä ja puhdisti näin Jumalan huoneen ryöväreistä (Matt. 21: 12, 13; Joh. 2: 14 - 16).

Only Jesus didn't fall to Satan's merchandise (Eze. 28: 16). He never gave nor took any bribe. Instead he overthrew two times the tables of the moneychangers and cleaned God's temple from the thieves (Matthew 21: 12, 13; John 2: 14 - 16).

Vain Jeesus joutui kokemaan todellisen hylkiön osan. Ps. 15: 4 -  HALVEKSITTU OMISSA SILMISSÄÄN... JA HYLJEKSITTY.

Only Jesus was forced to life the role of a true outcast/louse. Ps. 15: 4 -  DESPISED IN HIS OWN EYES... AND REJECTED.

Jesaja kirjoitti Jumalan kärsivästä Palvelijasta näin: "Hän kasvoi Herran edessä niinkuin vesa, niinkuin juuri kuivasta maasta. Ei ollut hänellä vartta eikä kauneutta; me näimme hänet, mutta ei ollut hänellä muotoa, johon me olisimme mielistyneet.
Hän oli ylenkatsottu, ihmisten hylkäämä, kipujen mies ja sairauden tuttava, jota näkemästä kaikki kasvonsa peittivät, halveksittu, jota emme minäkään pitäneet" (Jes. 53: 2, 3).
Isaiah wrote about God's suffering Servant like this:" For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, [there is] no beauty that we should desire him.3 He is despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were [our] faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not (Isa. 53: 2, 3).
Eikä siinä vielä kyllin, että ihmiset hylkäsivät hänet, sillä Golgatan keskimmäiseltä ristiltä kuului kerran nämä tuskaiset sanat:"Ja yhdeksännen hetken vaiheilla Jeesus huusi suurella äänellä sanoen: "Eeli, Eeli, lama sabaktani?" Se on: Jumalani, Jumalani, miksi minut hylkäsit? (Matt. 27: 46; Mark. 15: 34)
And more over he was rejected even by the Father, for these painful words were heard once from the middle cross of the Golgotha:"And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Matthew 27: 46; Marc 15: 34)
Sydämellinen kiitos Jeesukselle, joka kantoi hylkiön osan, jotta kaikilla ihmisten hyljeksimillä olisi mahdollisuus osallistua  ja nauttia Isän rakkaudesta ja huolenpidosta!
Lovely thanks to Jesus, who lived the role of the outcast/louse that all those who have been rejected by people would have a possibility to take part and enjoy of the Father's love and care!

Muisto, maine ja nimi * Memory, recollection and name

I have many times wrote and said that God's name/code in Hebrew is אהיה (EHYEH) and not יהוה (YAHWEH/JEHOVAH), and so I say it even now. Yesterday I translated Ex. 3: 14, 15 from Hebrew into Finnish and became convinced that the tetragrammaton יהוה has been added in the verse 15. Now I try to argue my claim.

1. Moos. 3: 14, 15 hepreaksi:
Ex. 3: 14, 15 in Hebrew:

14 ויאמר אלהים אל משה אהיה אשר אהיה ויאמר כה תאמר לבני ישראל אהיה שלחני אליכם׃15 ויאמר עוד אלהים אל משה כה תאמר אל בני ישראל יהוה אלהי אבתיכם אלהי אברהם אלהי יצחק ואלהי יעקב שלחני אליכם זה שמי לעלם וזה זכרי לדר דר׃

Käännökseni sanasta sanaan ja heprealaista sanajärjestystä noudattaen:

14. JA VASTASI JUMALA MOOSEKSELLE
OLEN JOKA OLEN
JA SANOI
NYT SANO LAPSILLE ISRAELIN
(MINÄ) OLEN LÄHETTI MINUT TEIDÄN LUOKSENNE

15. JA SANOI VIELÄ JUMALA MOOSEKSELLE
NYT SANO LAPSILLE ISRAELIN
... HERRA...
JUMALA TEIDÄN ISIENNE
JUMALA ABRAHAMIN
JUMALA ISAKIN
JUMALA JAKOBIN
TÄMÄ (ON) MAINEENI IKUISESTI
JA TÄMÄ (ON) MUISTONI SUKUPOLVESTA SUKUPOLVEEN

My translation from word to word and following the Hebrew word order:

14. AND ANSWERED GOD TO MOSES
I AM THAT I AM
AND SAID
NOW SAY TO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL
I AM SEND ME UNTO YOU

15. AND SAID STILL GOD TO MOSES
NOW SAY TO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL
... THE LORD...
GOD OF YOUR FATHERS
GOD OF ABRAHAM
GOD OF ISAAC
GOD OF JACOB
SEND ME UNTO YOU
THIS (IS) MY MEMORY FOR EVER
THIS (IS) MY RECOLLECTION FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION

Perusteluni väitteelleni, että Herra-sana on lisäys:

* Herra-sana (יהוה) on varsin helppoa pudottaa pois tekstin sanoman muuttumatta mitenkään.
Moos. 17: 1), ja Jumala rohkaisi sekä Iisakia (1. Moos. 26: 3) että Jaakobia (1. Moos. 31: 1) sanalla/nimellä אהיה (EHJEE) eli (Minä)OLEN. Näin ollen Herra-nimeen (יהוה) viittaaminen tässä  yhteydessä on keinotekoista. Sanaa Herra (יהוה) on voitu lisätä Vanhaan Testamenttiin sinne ja tänne, mutta Jumala itse esittäytyi patriarkoille nimillä Kaikkivaltias ja Olen.
* 14. jakeessa lauseen subjektina on sana אהיה (EHJEE) eli Olen, ja sen kanssa predikaattina on yhdistelmäsana שלחני  (shelaachanii) eli lähetti minut. Sana אהיה

My arguments on my claim that the word "Lord" has been added:

* It's quite easy to droop the word "Lord" (יהוה) off the sentence without any changes to it's meaning.
* In the end of the verse 15 there is no verb (THIS MY MEMORY FOR EVER THIS MY RECOLLECTION FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION), and usually a lacking Hebrew verb is translated by the verb "be".
* There is no verb "call" in the verse 15 (like in the Finnish version), and the lacking verb can't be replaced by it. Therefore in the verse 15 it's not question by what name God must be called for ever but what is the recollection which makes us to know/remember him from generation to generation. And surely we know him as the God of three Jewish patriarchs.
* When God appeared to Abraham he introduced himself by the name אל שדי (El-Shaddai) or the Almighty (Gen. 17: 1) and God encouraged both Isaac (Gen. 26: 3) and Jacob (Gen. 31: 3) by the word/name אהיה (EHYEH) or I AM. Therefore it seems  strange to me to refer to the "the Lord" (יהוה) when speaking of those three patriarchs. It's possible that the word "Lord" (יהוה) has been added here and there in the Old Testament but God introduced himself to the Jewish patriarchs by the names "Almighty" and "I am".
* In the verse 14 the word אהיה (EHYEH) or I Am is a subject and the connection-word שלחני (shelaachanii) or send me is a predicate. So the word אהיה (EHYEH) is a noun and that name of God Moses had to tell to the children of Israel.
* When God said that his name is אהיה (EHYEH) or IAM, is it possible that he would have changed his mind immediately and said that his name is יהוה (YAHWEH/JEHOVAH) or HEMAKESTOBECOMETOSOMETHING.
* The verb שלח (shalach) occurs in both verses in question, and it occurs also two times in the story of the Fall. This verb means: free/send forth, stretch/put forth, send. God sent Adam and Eve forth so that they should not put forth their hands and cause eternal sin and death, but God sent Moses to free the Israelis from Egypt, which is symbolism of God's mission through Jesus for the whole mankind. Is this not an eternal gospel!

Vain kaksi * Only two

Kuten tunnettua, minä en ole kolminaisuusopin kannattaja, koska en löydä sille riittäviä perusteita raamatusta enkä varsinkaan Jumalan tai Jeesuksen omista sanoista.

As you know I can't accept the Trinity, because I can't find enough arguments for that in the Bible and especially in God's or Jesus' own words.

Kääntäessäni eilen Joh. 14: 1 - 3:a hepreasta suomeksi totesin, että siinä on Jeesuksen antama testamentti uskon perusteeksi. Tuo usko kohdistuu kahteen jumalalliseen tekijään. Noilla melkein viimeisillä sanoillaan Jeesus kääntää katseemme Jumalaan ja häneen itseensä.

When I was yesterday translating John 14: 1 - 3 from Hebrew into Finnish I saw that there is Jesus' testament as a base for our faith. That faith is based upon two divine authors. With those almost the last words Jesus turns our faces on God and himself.

ÄLKÖÖN MIELENNE KAUHISTUKO USKOKAA JUMALAAN JA MYÖS MINUUN USKOKAA...

MAY NOT YOUR MIND BE FRIGHTENED BELIEVE IN GOD AND ALSO IN ME BELIEVE...

Myös Jeesuksen sanat Joh. 17: 3:ssa ovat täysin yhteneviä näiden sanojen kanssa. Iankkainen elämä on varattu niille, jotka uskovat yhteen Jumalaan ja hänen lähettämäänsä Pelastajaan.

Even Jesus' words in John 17: 3 consort with these words. Eternal life is for those who believe in one God and the Savior God sent.

In Solomon's temple there were two pillars called Boaz = he has power and Jachin = he strengthens (1. Kings 7: 21). In Revelation there is a mention of two witnesses (Rev. 11: 3), and Jesus is called "faithful" and "true" witness (Rev. 1: 5; 3: 14 - Jesus worked on earth 3,5 years = 42 months = 1260 days) The divine witnesses (God and Jesus) are honest and infallible witnesses!

Raamatun tuorein kirjoittaja on apostoli Johannes. Hän käyttää ilmaisua "Jumala ja Karitsa" (Ilm. 21: 22; 22: 3). Siis vain kaksi!

The newest author in the Bible is the apostle John. He uses the expression "God and the Lamb" (Rev. 21: 22; 22: 3). Thus only two!

Jumala on henki (Joh. 4: 24), ja Jeesus on henki (2. Kor. 3: 17). Se tarkoittaa, että Jumala ja Jeesus ovat hengessä yksi. Tuosta jumalallisesta hengestä osallisina pelastetutkin voivat olla yksi (Joh. 17: 21).

God is a spirit (John 4: 24) and Jesus is a spirit (2. Cor. 3: 17). That means: God and Jesus are one in spirit. Being involved in that spirit even the saved can be one (John. 17: 21).

Kenen arvovalta * Whose authority

Dan. 9: 24

שבעים שבעים נחתך על עמך ועל עיר קדשך לכלא הפשע ולחתם חטאות ולכפר עון ולהביא צדק עלמים ולחתם חזון ונביא ולמשח קדש קדשים

Tässä Danielin kirjan jakeessa erityinen huomio kiinnittyy kahteen sanaan, jotka ovat נחתך על (nechtak al). Verbi ja prepositio.

In this verse we must pay special attention to two words which are: נחתך על (nechtak al). A verb and a preposition.

נחתך (nechak) on Nifalissa (passiivimuoto) oleva verbi, ja חתך- verbin merkityksiä ovat säätää/asettaa/määrätä, mutta myös leikata.

נחתך is a verb in Niphal (passive) and the חתך-verb means decree/set/determine but also cut.

Ensiksimainitut vaihtoehdot ovat samansuuntaisia ja -sisältöisiä, mutta hyvin erimerkityksisiä viimeksimainitun vaihtoehdon kanssa. Tämän jakeen kääntämisen kohdalla on hyvin tärkeää tehdä oikea sanavalinta, sillä väärä valinta johtaa vääriin tulkintoihin ja jopa epäraamatullisiin oppeihin.

The first verbal alternatives are similar and parallel but different to the last one. With this verse it is very important to choose the write one, because a wrong choice leeds to wrong interpretations and even false doctrines.

Sanavalinnan ratkaisee kyseistä verbiä seuraava prepositio, joka osoittaa toiminnan luonteen. Kyseisellä על-prepositiolla on useita eri merkityksiä, mutta ne kaikki voidaan kiteyttää ajatukseen, että verbin ilmoittama tekeminen/oleminen tapahtuu jonkun yläpuolella/päällä/yli.

Now the preposition after the verb is the key, for it expresses the character of action. The preposition על has many meanings but all they can be put together in an idea of to work/be above/upon/over something.

Kyseinen preposisitio esiintyy Dan. 9: 24: ssa kaksi kertaa (על עמך = sinun kansasi yli/ sinun kansallesi + ועל עיר קדשך = ja sinun pyhän kaupunkisi yli/ja sinun pyhälle kanupungillesi).

The preposition in question occurs two times in Dan. 9: 24 (על עמך = upon thy people + ועל עיר קדשך = and upon thy holy city)

Tarkka lukija ymmärtää jo tässä vaiheessa, että kyseisen verbin merkityksistä ainoastaan säätää/asettaa/määrätä voidaan toteuttaa jonkun yläpuolella/päällä/yli. Mitä tarkoittaisi "jonkun yläpuolella/päällä/yli leikkaaminen"?

A pedant reader finds already now that only decree/set/determine is action, which can be done above/upon/over something. What could ever mean "to cut above/upon/over something"?

Kyseisen jakeen käännöksessä voitaisiin harkita verbivaihtoehtoa leikata, mikäli kyseistä verbiä seuraava preopositio olisi ל (le), joka ilmaisee toimintaa jonkun suuntaan/hyväksi, esim. jollekin, -lle (sinun kansallesi ja pyhälle kaupungillesi). Mutta prepositio tässä jakeessa on על (al)... ja vielä kaksi kertaa!

It could be possible to consider the choice "cut", if there were another preposition after the verb, and it should be the preposition ל (le), which means that some action happens to/for something (to your people and to thy holy city). But the preposition in this verse is על (al)... and moreover two times.

If somebody translates this text using the verb "cut", he has totally missed the preposition. Then authority has been then taken from God (whose authority is above all and therefore he is able to control even time and set times) to man (who is trying to force the prophecies to fit with his own opinions and to rule others with them). This is not allowed to be happened in honest search of truth!

Messiaan seuraajia * Followers of the Messiah

Messiasennustukset ovat Jeesusta koskevia Vanhan Testamentin ennustuksia.  Messias (משיח) on heprean kielen sana, joka tarkoittaa voideltua eli voitelemalla virkaan asetettua henkilöä. Kuten tiedämme Israelin kuninkaat Saulista alkaen asetettiin virkaansa voitelemalla. Siksi maallisiakin kuninkaita voidaan kutsua raamatun tekstissä nimellä "voideltu". Mutta ennen kaikkea sana Messias viittaa Jeesukseen (Ps. 2: 2; Dan. 9: 25, 26).

The Messianic prophecies are Old Testament's prophecies concerning Jesus. Messiah (משיח) is a Hebrew word meaning anointed or a person who has been anointed to his post. As we know all the kings of Israel were anointed ever since Saul. Therefore also the earthly kings are called by the name "anointed" in the Bible. But especially Messiah means Jesus (Ps. 2: 2; Dan. 9: 25, 26).

Jeesus on Jumalan valtakunnan voideltu Kuningas. Vaeltaessaan maan päällä Jeesus kutsui seuraajikseen mm. väsyneitä, sairaita, taakkojen ja kuormien raskauttamia ihmisiä ja tarjosi heille lepoa, hoitoa, lohdutusta ja helpotusta (Matt. 11: 28).

Jesus is the anointed King of God's kingdom. When he was on earth he called tired, sick and heavy laden people to follow him and gave them rest, care, comfort and help (Matthew 11: 28).

Ennen taivaaseen astumistaan Jeesus sanoi menevänsä valmistamaan omilleen sijaa Isän ikuiseen kotiin (Joh. 14: 1, 2). Jumalan valtakunta koittaa todellisesti ja lopullisesti, kun Jeesus saapuu takaisin noutamaan omiaan (Joh. 14: 3). Silloin hän ilmestyy "Kuningasten Kuninkaana"(Ilm. 19: 11 - 15)... todellisena Messiaana!

Before Jesus was taken to heaven he said that he'll go to Father's eternal home to prepare place for his own (John 14: 1, 2). God's kingdom shall finally and truly come when Jesus shall return to receive his own (Joh. 14: 3). Then he shall appear as "the King of Kings" (Rev. 19: 11 - 15)... the real Messiah!

Ennen tuota maailman suurinta spektaakkelia Jumalan valtakunta on sisällisesti hänen omissaan (Luuk. 17: 21). Ketkä sitten ovat hänen omiaan? Onko heillä joku ulkoinen tai sisäinen merkki, josta heidät voisi tunnistaa? Tai onko heitä enää olemassakaan, sillä onhan Jeesuksen ajasta kulunut jo noin 2000 vuotta? Ja sitäpaitsi Jeesus itsekin sanoi (Luuk. 18: 8): "... Kuitenkin kun ihmisen Poika tulee, löytäneekö hän uskoa maan päältä?"

Before that greatest spectacle in the world God's kingdom is within his own (Luke 17: 21). Who are those? Do they have some external or internal sign? Do they still exist, for about 2000 years have past since Jesus? Moreover Jesus himself said (Luke 18: 8): "... Nevertheless, when the Son of man cometh, will he find faith on the earth?"

Kuitenkin apostoli Johannes kirjoitti viimeisten aikojen pyhistä ja antoi heidän tuntomerkeikseen kaksi seikkaa (Ilm. 14: 12):
1. he pitävät Jumalan käskyt 2. heillä on Jeesuksen usko.

However the apostle John wrote about the saints of the last days and gave two signs for them (Rev. 14: 12):
1. they keep God's commandments 2. they have the faith of Jesus

Maailman lopussakin on siis uskovien ihmisten joukko, jotka pysyvät uskollisina Jumalan antamille käskyille (2. Moos. 20: 2 - 17; 5. Moos. 5: 6 - 21) ja uskovat Jeesuksen opettamalla tavalla.

Even in the end of the world there are people who obey God's commandments (Ex. 20: 2 - 17; Deut. 5: 6 - 21) and believe as Jesus has taught.

Eräs asia, mikä ei varmuudella sisälly Jeesuksen opetukseen, on kolminaisuusoppi. Näin on asian laita, mikäli on uskomista Jeesuksen omiin sanoihin, jotka löytyvät Joh. 17: 3:sta: "Mutta tämä on iankaikkinen elämä, että he tuntevat sinut, joka yksin olet totinen Jumala, ja hänet, jonka sinä olet lähettänyt, Jeesuksen Kristuksen."

There is one thing which most surely doesn't belong to the teachings of Jesus, and it's the Trinity. This is the fact as long as we should believe in Jesus' own words (John 17: 3):"And this is life eternal, that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent."

Tiedämme, että kolminaisuusoppi on kristinuskon keskeinen opinkappale. Mutta sitä ei tee totuudeksi edes Kristus-nimestä mahdollisesti johdettu uskonnon nimi!

We know very well that the Trinity is a fundamental doctrine in Christianity. But it doesn't stand for truth although it's religion name is possibly derived from the name Christ.

Meidän on annettu ymmärtää, että "kristitty" tarkoittaa Kristuksen seuraajaa, ja että Kristus merkitsee samaa kuin Jeesus. Mutta onko näin? Miksi kristinusko on sitten ajautunut niin kauaksi Jeesuksen opetuksista?

We have been taught that "Christian" means the one who follows Christ, and that Christ means Jesus. But is it so? Why the Christianity has gone so far from the teachings of Jesus?

Voisiko vastaus löytyä siitä, että Jeesuksen todelliset seuraajat kantavatkin nimeä "messiaaninen" eli Messiaan seuraaja kuten Ap.t. 11: 26:n hepreankielinen käännös antaa ymmärtää!

Could it be possible that the answer is that the real followers of Jesus are called "Messianic" or the followers of the Messiah like it's written in Acts 11: 26   in Hebrew!

ויהיו ישבים יחד בקהלה שנה תמימה ומלמדים עם רב אז הוחל באנטיוכיא לקרא את התלמידים בשם משיחיים

Verratkaamme näitä kahta sanaa!
Let's compare these two words!
 משיחיים
 משיח

Tässä on ajattelemisen aihetta!
Isn't this worth of thinking!

Kenties "kristitty" ja "messiaaninen" merkitsivät suunnilleen samaa aikana, jolloin Jeesuksen seuraajille annettiin oma nimi Syyrian Antiokiassa, mutta nykyään asia ei enää ole niin!

Maybe "Christian" and "messianic" meant the same in the time when the disciples of Jesus got an own name in Antioch of Syria, but today it's not the same thing.

Miksi ylipäätän hepreankielisellä sanalla Messias on kreikankielinen vastine "Kristus", josta on sittemmin tullut etunimen veroinen (Jeesus Kristus)? Kun heprean Messias-sanaa käytetään Jeesuksen toisena nimenä muodossa ישוע המשיח (Jeshua Ha-Mashiah), kumpaakaan nimeä ei pitäisi kääntää, sillä eihän nimiä yleensäkään käännetä

Overall why the Hebrew name Messiah has a Greek counterpart "Christ", which has become like a first name (Jesus Christ)? When the Hebrew word Messiah is used as a name in the form of ישוע המשיח (Jeshua Ha-Mashiah), it should not be translated, for generally names are not translated

Eikä kreikka ollut Jeesuksen äidinkieli, sillä tuohon aikaan puhuttiin arameaa, jota kirjoitetaan samoilla konsonanteilla kuin hepreaa.

Greek was not the native language of Jesus, for Aramaic was then in use and it's written with the same consonants as Hebrew.
