Jumalan vala ja vannominen * God's oath and swearing

Raamatusta löytyy useita tekstejä, joissa puhutaan Jumalan tekemästä valasta ja vannomisesta. Minua on mietityttänyt kysymys, miten Jumala valansa vannoo. Lyökö Jumala (joka on Henki - Joh. 4: 24) kättä valansa merkiksi, vai asettaako hän kätensä raamatulle, vai toistaako hän valmiiksi kirjoitettua tekstiä valaansa vannoessaan?

There are many texts in the Bible about God's oath and swearing. I have been thinking how does God swear his oath. Does God (who is a Spirit - John 4: 24) raise his hand for some mark of his oath or does he put his fingers on the Bible or does he repeat some text written beforehand?

Vastaus löytyi ikään kuin sattumalta kääntäessäni vedenpaisumuskertomusta hepreasta suomeksi. Heprean sanoille on tyypillistä "juurikirjaimet/juurikonsonantit", joilla tarkoitetaan yleensä kolmea konsonanttia, joista sana koostuu.

I managed to find an answer by accident when I was translating the story of the Flood from Hebrew into Finnish. So called "root consonants" are typical for the Hebrew words and it means three consonants in a word.

I noticed that the numeral "seven" שבע (sheba) is written precisely with the same consonants as the verb "swear" and that in the word "oath" there are those same root consonants Shin (ש), Bet (ב) and Ajin (ע).

Lukusana seitsemän esiintyy raamatussa ensimmäisen kerran luomisen yhteydessä. Se, mitä Jumala silloin teki, on hänen ikuinen valansa! Katsokaamme tätä Jumalan valaa tarkemmin.

The numeral seven occurs first time in the Bible in the story of the creation. God's oath is what he did then! Let's look at God's eternal oath closer.

Seitsemännen päivän lepo on Jumalan takuu sille lupaukselle/valalle, että "sapatinlepo on Jumalan kansalle varmasti tuleva" (Hepr. 4: 9).

God's oath is to be seen in the order he used in his creation or that he created man in the sixth day and set the Sabbath on the seventh day. Adam and Eve were allowed to begin their life from rest... the Sabbath rest. The rest of the seventh day is God's guarantee/oath for the promise/oath "there remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God" (Hebrews 4: 9).

Tähän Jumalan valaan sisältyy kaikki, mikä koskee ihmiskunnan lunastusta. Se on takuuvarma ennustus Jeesuksen syntymästä, hänen elämästään ihmisenä, hänen synnittömyydestään, hänen sijaiskuolemastaan ihmiskunnan syntien puolesta, hänen voitostaan Kuolemasta ja Perkeleestä, hänen ylösnousemuksestaan ja hänen saamastaan korotuksesta.

This oath of God includes all that concerns the salvation of the mankind. It's a guaranteed prophecy of Jesus' birth, his human life, his sinlessness, his death because of our sins, his victory over the Death and Devil, his resurrection and his increased position.

God's oath has been formulated before the creation of the mankind, it was sworn during the creation, and it has stayed until us as the past centuries have proved and in the day of the Son of Man every creature shall see it's final fulfillment.

Jumalan vala on voimassa ihmiskunnan syntiinlankeemuksesta huolimatta. Jumalan vannoma sana on voimassa Saatanan aiheuttamasta kaaoksesta, hävityksestä ja kuolemasta huolimatta. Jumalan vala pysyy, eikä hänen "sanansa tyhjänä palaja" (Jes. 55: 11). Ennen syntiinlankeemusta Aadamille ja Eevalle annettu sapatinlepo tulee toteutumaan ikuisuudessa kaikesta Saatanan vastaanhangoittelusta huolimatta, vaikka tänään ei siltä näytä! Se on Jeesuksen ansiota! Ylistys Jumalalle!

God's oath has stayed in spite of the Fall of men. The words God has sworn stay in spite of the chaos, disaster and death Satan has caused. God's oath shall stay and and his word "shall not return to him void" (Isa. 55: 11). In spite of all Satan's resistance the Sabbath rest given to Adam and Eve shall come true in the eternity... although it's not seen today! It's because of Jesus! Praise God!

Ehjeen evankeliumi kuvakielelllä * Ehyeh's gospel in an imagery

What might be now the newest thing in the religious world; I wonder is it Mark Biltz's teaching. He is shocking his audience by his secret knowledge about the ancient Hebrew alphabets and teaches that "the Hebrew letters are pictures, which have more deeper meaning."

It's not a new thing that the Hebrew consonants are pictures, for the whole Occult system is based as much on the pictures of the Hebrew consonants as on their numeral values.

Heprean aakkosten kuvalliset merkitykset selviävät netistä hyvin monista kirjoituksista, joista tässä yksi esimerkki .http://www.kotipetripaavola.com/hebreankielenaakkoset_he.html

We can find in internet many texts about the graphical meanings of the Hebrew Alphabet.

Mutta mihin verrattuna heprean aakkosten kuvilla "on paljon suurempi merkitys"? Mielestäni on hyvin vaarallista, jos heprean aakkosten kuvat alkavat mennä tekstimerkityksen edelle!

But what is the target of Biltz's comparison, when he says that the pictures of the Hebrew Alphabet has "more deeper meaning"? I think that it's very dangerous if the pictures of the Hebrew consonants become more important than the text itself!

It's quite clear without mentioning that even the Tetragrammaton gets in this way a new opening in Biltz's teaching. When He is a window representing looking/viewing/gazing and when Yod is a hand and Waw is a nail, Biltz casts before the eyes of his audience a picture of the Crucified. The pictures of the Hebrew consonants seem to cause more pictures... visions/mental images. How is it possible to bold the Crucified of one hand, one nail and two windows? I think the Crucified had two hands and two legs, which all were pierced by nails!

Kuten voitte jo huomata, minä en innostu tällaisesta raamatun tulkinnasta alkuunkaan, sillä katson sen olevan okkultismia!

As you see I'm not at all inspired with this kind of Bible reading, for I think it's Occultism!

But for those who like this kind of play, I like to open the gospel of Ehyeh.
The first consonant of the word Ehyeh is Alef, which means ox/firstborn/the strongest/the first. And all the other consonants you already know but as a repetition: Yod = hand, He = window. Thus we can see (through our window) how God stretches his hand from heaven (God's window) and gives us a whole ox... for a sacrifice. The most essential thing in God's salvation is that he is the One who gives. God didn't kill Jesus but he gave him and Satan pounded him.

Now we can set the Alphabet-pictures of Ehyeh and Yahweh/Jehovah side by side. In the word Ehyeh we can see a pure gospel about God's Ox/the Firstborn/ the First One who defeated Death/the Mighty One of Israel, who is God's gift. But in the word Yahweh/Jehovah we can see the hand and the weapon of Satan/the Slayer/Killer/Murderer.

Mikä ihmeen "toinen olla-verbi" * I don't know "another verb to be"

Olen kuullut monta kertaa väitteen, että heprean הוה havah-verbi (HVH) olisi "toinen olla-verbi", ja että havah-verbistä johdettu tetragrammi JHVH voitaisiin kääntää sanoilla "minä olen".

I have heard many times such a claim that the Hebrew verb havah (HVH) is "another verb to be" and therefore the tetragrammaton could be translated "I am".

Matti Liljeqvistin Vanhan Testamentin Heprean ja Aramean Sanakirjan mukaan havah-verbi (HVH) esiintyy Vanhassa Testamentissa kaikkiaan 5 kertaa, joista Liljeqvist luettelee 4 kohtaa:

1. Moos. 27: 29 - merkityksessä "tulla joksikin"
Saarn. 11: 3 - merkityksessä "jäädä paikoilleen"
Neh. 6: 6 - merkityksessä "pyrkiä joksikin"
Saarn. 2: 22 - merkityksessä merkityksessä "hyötyä/tulla hyödyksi"

Siis missä se "olla"-verbi esiintyy?

According to the Hebrew/Aramaic wordbook I use the verb havah (HVH) occurs only five times in the Old Testament and the author lists the following 4 texts:

1. Moos. 27: 29 - meaning "to become to something"
Ecc. 11: 3 - meaning "to stay"
Neh. 6: 6 - meaning "try"/"strive"/"aim"
Ecc. 2: 22 - meaning "benefit"/"profit"

From where we can find the meaning "to be"?

Lisäksi olen kuullut väitettävän, että tetragrammin ensimmäinen kirjain J (hepreassa Jod) viittaisi imperfektiin. Lukiessani ja kääntäessäni Vanhan Tetsamentin tekstejä hepreasta suomeksi olen pannut toistuvasti merkille, että Jod heprean verbin alussa liittyy yksikön 3. persoonaan.

Moreover I have heard a claim that the consonant J in the beginning of the tetragrammaton (in Hebrew Yod) refers to the Imperfect. When I have been reading and translating the Hebrew text I have repeatedly seen that J in the beginning of the Hebrew verbs refers to the 3rd person of the singular.

Once more I say: to be in Hebrew in the first person of the singular in Perfect is הייתי (hajiti) and in Imperfect אהיה (ehyeh).

I'll repeat shortly once again the facts of the Hebrew verb "to be", because some curious claims and odd wobblies are still surrounding it.

To be is in English to BE and in the first person singular "I AM". The corresponding verb in Hebrew is hajah (HJH) and it's written in the square font היה, where ה (He) = H and י (Yod) = J, and (He) = H occurs both in the beginning and in the end of the word.

Hajah-verbi (HJH) esiintyy Vanhassa Testamentissa yli 3000 kertaa (Matti Liljeqvistin sanankirjan mukaan 3548 kertaa).

The verb hajah (HJH) occurs more than 3000 times in the Old Testament, according to Matti Liljeqvist 3548 times.

In the Elohistic creation story the verb hajah (HJH) appears when something was made and it's said in English "there was"/"it was"/"it happened".

As we can see the Hebrew verb hajah (HJH) has been translated with other words too... such as "come", "happen", because everything that happens or becomes must be/exist at first.

I have published many times the lists of the Hebrew verb hajah (HJH) and therefore I'm stating only that the Qal Perfect in the first person singular of the verb hajah (HJH) is הייתי  (haajiitii) and the Qal Imperfect is אהיה (ehyeh). In Hebrew the Perfect means fulfilled action and the Imperfect means continuing action. Thus when God informed his name to Moses and said אהיה (EHYEH) he expressed that He IS /SHALL BE ETERNALLY.

Kolme, jotka todistavat * Three that bear witness

Johanneksen ensimmäisen kirjeen mukaan Jeesuksessa meille annetusta iankaikkisesta elämästä todistavat vesi, veri ja Henki (1. Joh. 5: 6 - 12). Näistä kolmesta "todistajasta" yksi on universumin elementti (vesi), toinen elämän neste (veri) ja kolmas jumalallinen olento (Henki). Kaikkien kolmen todistus perustuu todellisiin faktoihin, jotka eivät ole symboliikkaa, vaikka emme kuulekkaan niitä fyysisillä korvillamme.

According to the first epistle of John water, blood and Spirit bear witness of the eternal life, which has been given us in Jesus (1. John 5: 6 - 12). One of these three "witnesses" is a universal element (water), the other is a liquid of life (blood) and the third is a divine being, (Spirit). The witnesses of all these three are based on real facts, which are not symbolism, although we can't hear them by our physical ears.

HUOM!
ATTENTION! 1. John 5: 7, 8 without Comma Johanneum or the addition of Erasmus von Rotterdam: "For there are three that bear testimony: the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one."

VESI:

Piet. 2: 5).

Johannes kastoi ihmisiä Jordanilla upottamalla heidät kokonaan veden alle. Upotuskaste symbolisoi vanhan ihmisen kuolemista ja uuden ihmisen syntymistä (Room. 6: 4 - 10).

WATER:
Water is essential for the flora, the fauna and the mankind. Water is the most important criterion for the search for life in outer space. When God created life on this planet water was the first element. The whole wonderful diversity of life began from the WORD of God (Ps. 33: 9), but water guaranteed the continuation of life on this earth.

In the Flood water caused the destruction almost to all the people, but Noah and his family were saved by God's amazing miracle through water (2. Peter 2: 5).

John baptized people on Jordan and sank them completely under the water. His baptism is a symbol of an old man's death and a new man's birth (Rom. 6: 4 - 10).

VERI:

BLOOD:
Blood is a liquid of life and to bleed it means death. Animal blood was shed for the first time immediately after the Fall, when God made leather-clothes for Adam and Eve. This first bloodshed was a symbol of Jesus offering on Golgotha. In the same way every animal victim in the temple of Jerusalem referred to Jesus.

WATER AND BLOOD:
Water and Blood witness together of life and death... death and life. Although Jesus' blood was shed, Death couldn't hold him... him, who is "the living water" (John 4: 13, 14).

HENKI:

SPIRIT:
Spirit is the only one of those three, which is a being/person... a divine person... God himself, for God is a Spirit (John 4: 24). Even in John's text "Spirit" and "God" have been paralleled with each other, for the verse 9 contains explanation for the previous verses. The Spirit that witnesses is God himself!

God's witness was heard on Jordan when Jesus identified himself with sinners, although he never sinned and was like a pure and innocent "Lamp of God" (John 1: 29). God called Jesus his "beloved Son" (Matthew 3: 17).

According to the teaching of Paul Jesus is "the Son of God" "by the resurrection" (Rom. 1: 4). God, who witnessed on Jordan, knew that Jesus shall arise from the tomb as surely as he arose from the water on Jordan. God himself guaranteed that Jesus shall succeed in his difficult and hard mission of salvation he had planed in the beginning of the ages. This was a mission through water and blood.

Herrat järjestykseen * Lords in order

Psalmissa 110 on hämmentävä herrojen sekamelska. Suomalaisessa tekstissä käytetään sanaa "Herra" kaksi kertaa jakeessa 1 ja jakeissa 2, 4 ja 5 yhden kerran. On tärkeää selvittää, mistä sanoista nuo herra-sanat on käännetty. Katsokaamme siis kyseistä psalmia hepreaksi!

In the Psalm 110 there is a confusing mishmash of the Lords. The word "Lord" has been used twice in the first verse and once in the verses 2, 4 and 5. It's important to find out which words are original ones. Therefore let's look at the Hebrew text!

Jakeessa 1: tetragrammi JHVH ja sana adon (herra) muodossa adoni (herrani)
Jakeessa 2: tetragrammi JHVH
Jakeessa 4: tetragrammi JHVH
Jakeessa 5: adonai (yleensä Jumalasta/jumaluudesta käytetty muoto)

Verse 1: tetragrammaton JHWH and the word adon (Lord) in the form of adoni (my Lord)
Verse 2: tetragrammaton JHWH
Verse 4: tetragrammaton JHWH
Verse 5: adny (usually used about God/deity)

Sanat adon ja adonai viittavat selvästi Jeesukseen, sillä tässä psalmissa puhutaan ikuisesta Vanhurskaasta Kuninkaasta. Tetragrammin pitäisi siis viitata Isään Jumalaan, koska Isä on korkeampi kuin Poika.

The words adon and adny refers clearly to Jesus, for in the Psalm it's question of the eternal Righteous King. Therefore the tetragrammaton should be referring to the Father God, for isn't the Father higher than the Son.

This Psalm in question and especially it's first verse proof very powerfully at least that Jesus is not Yahweh/Jehovah as it's claimed in many religious and occult groups. Hardly Jesus did speak alone to himself!

In the Psalm 110 there is a prophecy of the eternal priesthood of Jesus because he is the Righteous King (in Hebrew: malki zedek). Although the king of Salem who blessed Abraham has been mixed with Melchizedek, but it's just impossible that some human being could be fatherless, motherless and totally without descendants (Hebr. 7: 1 - 3). Therefore it must be question of the priesthood of Jesus.

Koska Saalemin kuningas käytti Jumalasta nimeä Korkein eli El-Elyon (1. Moos. 14: 19, 20), olettaisin myös Daavidin käyttäneen Jumalasta tuota samaa nimeä. Onhan ilmeistä, että Daavid ymmärsi oman "herransa" suuruuden nimenomaan Saalemin kuninkaan Abrahamille esittämän siunauksen perusteella. Missä vaiheessa tähänkin psalmiin on kirjoitettu tuo tetragrammi... Jumala yksin tietää! Kuka lienee kirjoittanut tuon kyseenalaisen tetragrammin Jumalan nimen paikalle!

Because the king of Salem used of God the name the Highest/the most high God or El-Elyon (Gen. 14: 19, 20) I would assume that David also used that same name about God. Isn't it apparent that David understood the greatness of his "Lord" precisely on the base of the blessing the king of Salem gave to Abraham. I wonder when did somebody write the tetragrammaton even into this Psalm... but only God knows! Who probably wrote the uncertain tetragrammaton here and changed God's name from El-Elyon to Yahweh/Jehovah!

Käännös sanasta sanaan jakeen Ps. 110: 4 (Hepr. 7: 17) loppuosasta:

Ps. 110: 4 (Hepr. 7: 17) translation from word to word:
= you are a priest for ever according to my word/saying: my king is righteous

Saalemin kuningas siunasi Abrahamin, koska näki hänen edustavan Vanhurskasta Kuningasta. Vanhurskas Kuningas, מלכי צדק (Melki-Zedek), syntyi Abrahamin suvusta. Moos. 14: 19, 20).

The king of Salem blessed Abraham because he saw that he represented the Righteous King. The Righteous King מלכי צדק (Melki-Zedek) was born from Abraham. The king of Salem blessed Abraham saying: "And he blessed him, and said, Blessed [be] Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: And blessed be the most high God, who hath delivered thy enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all." (Gen. 14: 19, 20).

Siunaus luettiin Abrahamille, mutta kohdistettiin (hänessä) hänen siemeneensä/jälkeläiseensä, josta oli tuleva Iankaikkinen Pappi, Vanhurskas Kuningas... Jeesus. 4: 16).
The blessing was given to Abraham but focused through him on his seed/descendant, who shall be the Eternal Priest, the Righteous King... Jesus. The king of Salem was privileged to transmit the divine blessing to Abraham, "the father of faith". However the donor and the guarantor of the blessing is God himself, the Highest, who blessed Jesus straight so powerfully that he could defeat  every sin (Hebr. 4: 15) and carry the punishment of death for every human being /Hebr. 4: 16).
In the 11th chapter of Hebrew there is a list of those who saw the Righteous King, Melki-Zedek, even from far in faith and who believed he is their righteousness. The heart of the eleventh chapter is in the verse 13: "These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth."
In the beginning of the next chapter the author appeals on us, who have lived and are living after the time Jesus of the Righteous King:"Wherefore, seeing we also are encompassed with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds" (Hebr. 12: 1 - 3).
Meidän oikeutemme on uskoa Jumalan täyttyneeseen lupaukseen/sanaan Jeesuksessa, Vanhurskaassa Kuninkaassa.
Even our hope here and now is based on the only Righteous King, whom already Abel saw in faith. Abel and all the other believers in the Old Testament set their faith on God's promise/word, which was to come true. Our privilege is to trust on God's promise/word, which has come true in Jesus, the Righteous King.
Koko jumallinen pelastussuunnitelma perustuu Korkeimman sanoille מלכי צדק (malki zedek) kuninkaani on vanhurskas.
The whole divine plan for our salvation is based upon the Highest's words מלכי צדק (malki zedek) my king is righteous.
